In light of the recent government announcement, we thought it would be a good time to provide an update for you on how we’re responding to the situation and supporting you, our clients. 

Continuing to help 

Like many, at Imperial Chartered we are adapting to and embracing a new way of working. However, some things don’t change: the security of our service and protecting your assets and data is our top priority. As an Independent, Chartered firm we have the right people, technology and control framework in place to ensure that this continues in spite of the shift to the ‘new normal’. 

Making our service better

Remote working has allowed us to review the software and the technology we use. This means that our advisers not only have more time to spend with clients but also have the most advance methods of working at their disposal.  

The support team are fully operational, so please do call us if you need anything, we are here to help. 

We are going digital, and we thank you in advance.

We have seen a big rise in the number of people using our website and virtual meeting service over the last couple of months. Thank you to those of you who have started using our digital services for the first time, are continuing to do so, or are choosing digital over telephone and post. This means that we can keep our phone lines as free as possible for those who need them most. 

We are investing in improvements to our whole of market research and in new software to allow us to become paperless by the end of 2020. We have partnered up with ‘Adobe sign’ which will assist with our aspirations.

Some clients may have already started to receive communications this way. It provides a compliant & secure way of signing documents and helps save time and paper. All documents can be stored electronically not only ourselves but also our clients.

We hope you’ll all support us in our goal of becoming paperless by the end of the year!

Helping you to stay safe  

It is a sad truth that fraudsters are using the coronavirus outbreak as an opportunity to try new scams. We want to help you stay safe during this time with a few tips that will help protect you from financial crime. 

Stop – Take a moment, think twice before you part with your money or information. Have you been contacted out of the blue? Scammers often contact you out of the blue to catch you out.

Challenge – Could this be fake? There’s nothing wrong with rejecting or refusing to do something. Only fraudsters will pressure you into making a decision and if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Protect – If you think you’ve been scammed let us know or, if it’s in relation to your bank account, let your bank know.

Fraud can come in all shapes and sizes, so please continue to stay vigilant. 

Supporting our colleagues 

At Imperial Chartered the majority of our staff are now working from home. This has allowed our key workers that aren’t able to work from home to be spread out across our various office sites and follow the government’s guidance on social distancing. 

We have introduced a number of initiatives to support our colleagues and their wellbeing at this difficult time, both for those still working in the office and those working from home.
