Market Returns for H1

Markets Continue to Reward Investors

The first half of 2026 delivered strong returns across many global equity markets, particularly in technology, semiconductor and Asian markets. While some of the strongest gains came from AI-related investments, we are increasingly seeing opportunities develop beyond a small group of technology companies.

As investors, this is encouraging. A broader market rally typically creates more sustainable opportunities and reduces reliance on a handful of stocks driving overall performance.

Current Economic Momentum Remains Very Strong

Global Growth Remains Resilient

Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the global economy has continued to perform well. Business confidence is improving, investment remains strong and falling energy prices are helping support economic activity.

The rapid growth in artificial intelligence investment has also contributed to economic expansion, creating new opportunities across multiple industries rather than just within the technology sector.

Inflation Momentum is Picking Up

Keeping an Eye on Inflation

One area we continue to monitor closely is inflation. While economic growth remains positive, inflationary pressures have started to re-emerge in some regions. As a result, central banks may remain cautious when considering future interest rate changes.

This reinforces the importance of maintaining diversified portfolios that can adapt to different market environments rather than relying on any single investment theme.

Looking Ahead

Our investment team remains focused on identifying opportunities while carefully managing risk. We continue to believe that diversification, disciplined portfolio construction and active monitoring remain the best approach for helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals.
